I've a penchant for old-fashioned crafts. My mom and I taught ourselves easy methods to do needle tatting (a form of lacemaking) a few years in the past and lots of dainty initiatives ensued. I've had my eye on the artwork of quilling (rolling paper strips to shape art) for a while now and was happy to look that Cricut® gives a quilling instrument.

You can pair that device with the 3-D rolled flower images that you'll be able to find in Design Space to make your individual beautiful rolled flowers.

What you'll need: Step 1: Choose your images

The images that I used can also be found within the Flower Shoppe cartridge in Design Space and are included with Cricut Access. Choose the way(s) that you like and place in your canvas.

There are 10 different spiral choices, together with forty other flowers and leaves that you'll make. Resize as needed to fit your mission.

Step 2: Cut out flower pictures

Place your cardstock at the mat and switch the dial to that subject material. Cut out your flower spirals and take away from the mat.

Step 3: Quill (roll) the flowers

Place the top of your spiral in the slot on the quilling software.

Start turning it clockwise, protecting the cardstock along with your other hand to steer it. I like to put my index finger beneath the roll to help stay it rolling in the same layer.

Step 4: Glue it all in combination

The circle in the midst of the spiral is used to glue your rolled flower in combination.

Carefully let the rolled flower open a bit until the bottom is in regards to the size of the circle.

Place a drop of glue on the circle and attach to the ground of the flower. Pinch for a minute or two till the glue holds.

Voilà! You have beautiful 3D rolled flowers that can be used in many alternative forms of initiatives.
